Dr. Michael Benner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Waynesburg College and an earned Master and Doctorate degrees from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He served as an environmental geologist for fifty years while he also served as pastor, evangelist, and educator. Dr. Benner has pastored churches and fellowships in Texas and Pennsylvania. He was an adjunct of Religious Philosophy and Studies at Penn Highlands Community College in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He was also dean of the Bible Institute, West Pittston, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Benner has been married to the former Lorna Prestopine for over 45 years and they reside in Pittston, Pennsylvania. Lorna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Texas Woman’s University and a Master Degree in Biblical Counseling from Andersonville Theological Seminary. They have served denominational, interdenominational and nondenominational churches as they moved across the United States to accommodate his geologic work, prior to his retirement as a geologist and entry into full time ministry.
